Organizers: Japan Winery Awards Association, Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd.
Currently, there are about 500 wineries in Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu in the south, and they are making unique wines that make the most of the natural bounty of each region. In recent years, the quality of these wines has improved thanks to the efforts of grape growers and winemakers, and many of them have been receiving high praise at international competitions, attracting attention from around the world.
The appeal of Japanese wine is that it can not only be enjoyed at Restaurant or at home, but also by visiting domestic wineries where it is produced and enjoying tours and tastings.
Promoting Japanese wine also leads to "local production for local consumption" and "regional revitalization."
Why not use this Events in Marunouchi, a major wine-consuming area, to support the wine-producing regions and producers and deepen your understanding of Japanese wine?

It refers to fruit wine made in Japan using only grapes harvested domestically. To distinguish it from so-called domestic wine, which is made using ingredients from overseas, the definition was established by the National Tax Agency in October 2015 and has been in effect since October 30, 2018.
The Japan Winery Awards® is not an award that recognizes wine alone, but an award that honors the terroir (climate and environment) that produces good wine and the wine makers.
The award is given to wineries that are closest to consumers and who, after having knowledge of wines from around the world, have judged that "this is a Japanese wine that I can proudly recommend to my customers."
The awards ceremony is held every June by the Japan Winery Awards Council *, a general incorporated Organizer, and will be held for the eighth time in 2025. * Established in 2020, the council manages and hosts the Japan Winery Awards®, hosts the Japan Wine Toast Day® Events, and is involved in activities such as supporting Japanese wine producers and wineries.
