TOKYO MER.
A life-saving medical team directly under the Tokyo Governor, rushing to accident and disaster scenes in a large vehicle equipped with an operating room (ER car), fighting for patients without regard for their own safety.
Their mission is only one
"To prevent any deaths."
Summer 2021.
MER was born in that year when the world was still gripped by the fear of the coronavirus.
A heartfelt message of support for healthcare workers who are risking their lives to confront this unknown virus for the sake of patients.
And the bonds of friendship among friends who support each other.
The drama series, which aired on TBS's Sunday Theater slot, gained increasingly enthusiastic support with each episode.
Furthermore, in response to the numerous requests for a sequel that poured in immediately after the broadcast, two theatrical films were produced.
The first film, released in 2023, attracted 3.43 million viewers and grossed 4.53 billion yen at the box office.
The second film, released last summer, attracted 3.92 million viewers and grossed 5.29 billion yen.
Even now that the stage has moved to the theater, the passion for MER continues to intensify.
And now, we've reached the five-year mark since our founding.
With the addition of new members, TOKYO MER is about to begin a new chapter in its history.
But suddenly, an unimaginable crisis struck them down.
An earthquake struck Tokyo with an eerie roar, instantly destroying the capital's functions.
Accidents and fires are frequent, while endless traffic congestion hinders emergency vehicles.
Faced with an unbearably cruel ordeal, people stand helplessly, unable to do anything.
Can the reborn TOKYO MER save Tokyo from being buried under flames and rubble...?
An unprecedented life-saving mission unfolds on the largest scale in the series' history.
A story of courage and camaraderie among people fighting to save lives even in extreme circumstances.
