Author's comment

We feel anxiety and fear from the various forms of violence in the world, as well as pleasure and joy at the same time. I'm interested in those contradictory emotions and the strange sensations that arise from them.

Judge's review
``Excess,'' ``heterogeneity,'' and ``disconnection'' are important languages of art. However, the passion of expression does not necessarily produce emotion. When using ``femininity'' or ``life'' as a motif, a kind of cold-hearted ``providence'' is required, and pioneers such as Louise Bourgeois and Yayoi Kusama teach this. What kind of unexplored land will you head into in this dazzling field of “human beings”? (Shigeo Goto)
