aatm talk

Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi, which started in 2007, has been exhibiting works created by graduates of art and art universities in a public space. This year, the sixth year, we will be holding a rich talk show program.

aatm Talk - vol.01 -Relationship between Artist and galleries

A must-listen for young Artist! A gallerist who is a leader in contemporary art will introduce the work of a gallery, including how to interact with Artist, management, and market expansion.

Tomio Koyama
Opened Tomio Koyama Gallery in 1996. In addition to holding many exhibitions of Japanese Artist of the same generation such as Yoshitomo Nara and Takashi Murakami, we also introduce excellent overseas Artist to Japan and actively participate in overseas art fairs. Active. His major books include “How Much Does That Painting Cost?” ``Understand the market price of contemporary art'' (Kodansha) and ``Tomio Koyama's production technique without doing anything'' (Toyo Keizai Shinposha).

Joined H. P. FRANCE Co., Ltd. in 2004. After serving as the director of the joint Fashion exhibition "ROOMS," he established an art division in 2007 and opened "HPGRP GALLERY Tokyo" in Omotesando. At the company, he develops activities that do not stick to traditional gallery styles, such as directing WALL ART SCENE (Laforet Harajuku), HPFRANCE WINDOW GALLERY (Marunouchi Bldg.), "Aosando Art Fair", and "NEW CITY ART FAIR".

In 2004, he opened the contemporary art gallery ``Yamamoto Gendai'' in the wild factory district of Kagurazaka, Tokyo, and in 2008 moved to the current location in Shirokane. In addition to introducing and holding exhibitions of Artist who work in diverse media and formats, such as Motohiko Kotani, Kenji Yanobe, Yasuyuki Nishio, and Muneteru Ujino, we also engage in activities that transcend Category, such as Masakatsu Takagi, Kohei Kobayashi, and Erina Matsui. He also actively introduces young artists. He collaborates with galleries and museums both domestically and internationally, and participates in many art fairs.
aatm Talk - vol.02 - Why do Artist create works?

We welcome Mr. Noguchi, curator of Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, Tokyo, and Mr. Izumi Kato, Artist who works in paintings and wood carvings, as guests, and we will discuss the essential question of why Artist create works, and will discuss the creators and their creators. We approach it from the perspective of the curators and museums that support it.

Izumi Kato (Artist)
Kato Izumi
Born in 1969. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Oil Painting. He is known worldwide for his unique painting style, which depicts human figures such as men, women, and children, reminiscent of the anonymous and fundamental life of humanity. Since around 2004, he has been working on wood carvings in parallel with his paintings, giving off a direct presence that transcends the boundaries between paintings and our world.

KENJI KUBOTA ART OFFICE representative/Associate professor of art at the University of Tsukuba.
After working as a curator at the Ueno Royal Museum and the Contemporary Art Center, Art Tower Mito, he became independent in 2006. Based in Tokyo and Singapore, he is involved in curation work such as ``Money Talk'', ``Twist & Shout'', and ``Roppongi Crossing 2010'', Artist management (SNOW Contemporary), and corporate collection consulting.
Immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, he established "Japan Art Donation" with the aim of supporting reconstruction through art.
Reiichi Noguchi (Curatorial Group Head, Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, Tokyo)

Since 1993, he has been a curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, and since 1996, he has been a curator at the University Art Museum, Tokyo University of the Arts.
He is also an executive committee member of the regional art Events "art-Link Ueno-Yanaka", which has been held since 1997. Since 2004, he has been working at the Agency for Cultural Affairs as an arts and culture investigator, and has been involved in overseas training, planning the "DOMANI Tomorrow Exhibition," and media arts festivals. Current position since 2011.
aatm Talk - vol.03 - Japanese Artist as young Artist in Asia

Asian art is currently the hottest in the world. We will explore the ideal form of Japanese art in Asia while examining the emerging art scenes of South Korea, China, Singapore, and other countries, as well as up-and-coming young artists, from multiple angles in terms of works, markets, and key people.

Shigeo Goto (Professor, Kyoto University of Art and Design)
Shigeo Goto
Editor, creative director, and professor at Kyoto University of Art and Design. Works on art books and photo books by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Mika Ninagawa, Kishin Shinoyama, etc. He has participated in many projects to help young Artist spread their wings around the world, including the aatm committee and serving as a judge for the Japan Media Arts Festival. Additionally, in 2011, he started the art fair "TOKYO FRONTLINE" with a five-year plan.

He assumed his current position in 2007 after serving as an associate curator at the New Museum (New York). The Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art will feature artists who continue to expand the definition of art, including Hiroshima Prize winners Cai Guo-Qiang and Yoko Ono, as well as Tsuyoshi Ozawa, Takashi Takamine, and Simon Stirling. Currently, we are preparing a solo exhibition by Suh Do-ho from South Korea, as well as an exhibition looking back on 40 years of Japanese art (Central Academy of Fine Arts/Beijing). He is co-author of ``Creamer-Contemporary Art in Culture'' (Phaidon). Part-time lecturer at Waseda University.
Daisuke Miyatsu (Art Collector)

Started collecting in 1994, and has been building his own home Artist since 1999. Following the 2004 Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery ``Why not live for Art?'' and the 2007 Daerim Museum of Art in Seoul, South Korea ``Collector's choice-'', the 2011 Taiwan MOCA TAIPEI ``Invisibleness is Visibleness'' For the first time, the entire collection will be presented. From the standpoint of a collector, he has given many lectures at museums and art fairs both domestically and internationally. He is the author of “Let’s buy contemporary art!” ”(Shueisha Shinsho), the Chinese version of the same “Use zero use 錢, 收藏當代藝法” (Hara Publishing/Taiwan).
