It is highly commendable that he created a sense of ``realism'' by reproducing Tsuguharu Fujita's ``war paintings'' in black on ``painting'', an ``form of expression'' that in a certain sense has been perfected. On the other hand, however, this is politics within the ``framework of art'' of Japanese art history, and the question is how far it comes into contact with the ``real'' of ``war.''
