Tokyo Wonder Site Director
How wonderful and important it is for the next generation to be able to express themselves freely and to support them. This atmosphere enlivens society and the city. Art and culture are not an added bonus of society, but its foundation.
Shigeo GotoEditor, Creative Director, Kyoto University of Art and Design Professor
No one knows when or where a work that opens up the future of art will appear. The word "possibility" will become increasingly important to human society in the future, and I think art is full of this word. However, if we cannot discover and develop that talent, there will be no future. Looking back on aatm's activities over the past seven years, I feel proud that we have been able to select the most accurate young Artist who will lead the next generation. Once again this year, I would like to do my best to meet new talent.
Akiya TakahashiDirector of Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, Tokyo
It feels like this unique art judging committee has already become a major Events that colors Marunouchi's spring. The cutting-edge sensibility of these young artists emanates from each of their works. This is Daigomi of this ``seasonal'' event.
Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art Chief Curator
Is it possible to have the strength and urgency to communicate through expression to people passing by in the street, away from the environment where people share an interest in art? At a time when opaque forces are beginning to crush our imagination and creativity, we look forward to the bold challenges of young Artist.
Tomio KoyamaRepresentative of Tomio Koyama Gallery, Specially Appointed Associate Professor, Faculty of Global Japanese Studies, Meiji University
I hope that there will be Artist who will help us see the world from a new perspective this year as well. We, the judges, will do our best not to overlook even the smallest pieces that will lead to the future. Please continue to believe that art has the power to change the world.
Akira TatehataPresident of Kyoto City University of Arts, Director of the Museum of Modern Art, Saitama
Marunouchi, a business district, has recently taken on the character of an art zone. This award, which is held right in Venue middle of the city, has been attracting more and more attention year by year as a gateway to success for newcomers, and this year, too, we will see innovative challenges that will stir the conversation in the city with art. I hope so.
Mitsuru Kuramoto
broadcaster, musician
I believe that art is what opens up humanity's future, freedom, and happiness. Are we creating wonders that have never existed on earth before? I look forward to works that will increase options in the future.
