Author's comment

I am interested in the relationship between food and my body. Paraffin wax is used because its fat-like texture and heat-melting properties make it suitable for treating personal concerns.

Judge's comment

The artist, who is interested in food and his own body, seems to have given flesh to his paintings using paraffin wax. The two blocks placed in the frame of the sofa look like two couples sitting together. The figure of the figure, supported by a rope and trying to resist gravity, has both an overwhelming presence and sadness. (Tomio Koyama)
