What is Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi?
Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi (AATM) is an exhibition aimed at discovering and nurturing young Artist.
We visit the graduation exhibitions of Japan's major art universities and graduate schools, and select works and artists from among them to be exhibited at Gyoko-dori Underground Gallery in the Marunouchi underground. After that, a public judging process will determine the Grand Prix and other awards.
Since it started in 2007, it has steadily achieved success as a gateway to success for young Artist, with many Artist getting opportunities and starting their careers here.
The distinctive feature of AATM is that a wide variety of talents yet to emerge are gathered in one place, Gyoko-dori Underground Gallery which is a public space. The works selected by the judges' keen aesthetic sense are all sensitive to the atmosphere of the times. When they catch the eyes of passersby, they will bring a fresh art experience to both the viewers and the creators.
Starting this year, AATM aims to make exhibitions more open by introducing an audience award. Please look forward to the competition of young talents who predict the future.
