—the art of beauty— Shu Uemura, a Cosmetics brand that pursues the fusion of beauty and art, established the Shu Uemura Award in the hope of contributing to the development of talented young Artist. Winners will be given the opportunity for design collaboration, opening the door to their international debut.

I value my own sense of beauty and nobility, and sometimes I draw as if I were applying makeup, so I feel very happy and honored to have won this wonderful Shu Uemura Award. I will continue to draw each one with care.

The colorful paintings with gradations are dreamy and feminine, reminding us of similarities with makeup, and the approach to displaying the work by linking it with text graphics was unique and worthy of the award.
