aatm talk

Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi, which started in 2007, has been working to discover and nurture young talent in Marunouchi's public spaces. We will be holding a talk series to commemorate the 5th time this year.

aatm Talk - vol.01 - Easy-to-understand mechanism of contemporary art - up-and-coming young artists and the market

Three connoisseurs representing the art world will provide easy-to-understand explanations of the systems that support contemporary art, including galleries that lead the forefront of art, art fairs that serve as a place for information exchange, and international exhibitions that provide insight into global trends. We'll also ask you about tips to make your art tour 10 times more enjoyable, such as viewing etiquette and how to find artists you're interested in.

Shigeo Goto
Editor, creative director, and professor at Kyoto University of Art and Design. Works on art books and photo books by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Mika Ninagawa, Kishin Shinoyama, etc. He has participated in numerous projects aimed at exposing young Artist to the world, including serving as a judge for the AATM Committee and the Japan Media Arts Festival. Additionally, in 2011, he started the art fair "TOKYO FRONTLINE" with a five-year plan.

Toru Matsushita
Born in 1984. Completed the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Influenced by street art, he creates paintings and three-dimensional works that use the expressions caused by the deterioration of paint. Takahiro Kaneshima (Art Fair Tokyo Executive Director)
Takahiro Kaneshima
Born in Tokyo in 1977. Art Fair Tokyo Executive Director. FEC representative. He is involved in research projects on contemporary art in East Asia, support for artists' production, and exchange programs. After graduating from Keio University's Graduate School of Media and Policy Studies and working at Nokia and Toshiba Corporation, he began working in contemporary art in Beijing in 2005. He assumed his current position after managing Tokyo Gallery + BTAP's Beijing space and working as ART iT's East Asia regional producer.
Kenji Kubota (Independent Curator)
Independent curator/representative of KENJI KUBOTA ART OFFICE. Born in Tokyo in 1965. After working as a curator at the Ueno Royal Museum and the Contemporary Art Center, Art Tower Mito, he became independent in 2006. Based in Tokyo and Singapore, he is involved in the curation of "Money Talk," "Twist & Shout," and "Roppongi Crossing 2010," as well as Artist management and corporate collection consulting. Immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, he established "Japan Art Donation" with the aim of supporting reconstruction through art.
