What to do to let new talent spread out into the world
From Tokyo to the world. AATM's mission to discover outstanding talent and bring it to the world is becoming increasingly important. At a time when the global recession has not yet recovered and the art world is still looking for a way forward, I strongly believe that a system like AATM must continue to persevere. This is the work of creating the future. Rather than focusing on a single value axis, we must select the works of young artists using an eye for quality judgment that also applies to contemporary art scenes in Europe, America, and Asia. Also important is the vision that this vitality will be accumulated as the vitality of Marunouchi, Tokyo.

About the 4th aatm
I want to be overwhelmed by the new expressions and their power that I encounter at graduation and completion exhibitions...that's what I always look forward to. Many Artist came out of that era. However, the work is made up of countless intricately intertwined details, and is created by bringing together space, time, and history. I expect them to grasp the reality of the times and express it with firm will and skill.

Messages from past participating artists

Haruka Kojin

2007 Grand Prix Award
During the aatm public judging session, the judges listened to the voices of the artists, trying to discover the merits of each work. I was happy that not only the work, but also what the artist was thinking when creating the work, was evaluated fairly. It was an evaluation from a slightly different perspective than at university, and it gave me confidence in my creative approach. After aatm, I was invited by Yuko Hasegawa, a judge, to exhibit in Brazil and in 2009 to exhibit in collaboration with architect Kazuyo Sejima. I was able to develop my work in various environments, such as participating in the exhibition "Art in the Sky" at Shin-Marunouchi Bldg., featuring three artists who have previously exhibited at ATM, and I am planning to exhibit in New York next year. . aatm actually allows many people to see your work, which may lead to specific work. To everyone participating, let's go outside the box! I will send you a message. Please enjoy this opportunity.

2009 Grand Prix Award
The judges asked sharp questions that got to the essence of the exhibited works, such as their artistic qualities and their relationship and significance with society. Who do we want to show our activities to? Also, since AATM, I have been more aware of this method in my activities. We currently have a wah office in Kitamoto City, Saitama Prefecture, and are currently developing projects for local people. http://kitamoto-arts.blogspot.com/
At aatm, rather than high quality, I'd like to see something that's by far the best. Please say ``Babaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!''.

2009 Second Grand Prix Award
AATM is an environment where art people and the general public can see my work, so it was a very valuable experience. I was inspired by the interaction with the participating artists, and I want to create more after receiving the award! My desire to do so has also increased.
It is currently on display at the Suntory Museum Tempozan "RESONANCE" exhibition, and is scheduled to be exhibited at TKG Editions Kyoto in June. AATM is a good opportunity to appeal to society, so please enjoy it with a positive attitude.

2009 Shu Uemura Award
I have been able to have a variety of opportunities to make presentations through the connections I have made through participating in aatm, and my days have been very fulfilling. I am planning a solo exhibition at the Bambinato Gallery in 3331 Arts Chiyoda at the end of July, and since I received the Shu Uemura Award, I am also designing products for the same brand. I'm sure all the artists participating this year had a tough time completing their graduation/completion projects. I hope the aatm exhibition will be rich and rich.
