What you see and what you create in your head. I just want to paint so much that I could live to eat up this world.
Judge's review
Kondo's character was inspired by his volunteer work at the site of the Great East Japan Earthquake last year. Whether it is a natural disaster or a man-made disaster, a situation that instantly resets the social system creates a landscape that resembles a pre-modern, tightly knit community that goes beyond interests. By getting to know a part of the lives of people who transcend geographical and blood ties, I am trying to express a true image of people who have shaken off social constraints. (Taro Amano)
