Visualizing the symptoms associated with menstruation and PMS, which are different for each person. "Let's start by learning about the differences" Exhibition

Exhibits and content that allow you to experience the impact of different menstrual and PMS symptoms on your daily life

The #OneMoreChoice project has been active since 2021, aiming to create a society where people no longer have to endure the pain of menstruation.
The "Let's Start by Knowing the Differences" exhibition aims to provide an opportunity for people to take a fresh look at their own bodies and be considerate of the pain of those around them by learning about the differences between each person, how menstrual and PMS symptoms vary from person to person, and how these symptoms and discomfort can have a variety of effects on daily life. It also aims to provide an opportunity for people to take a fresh look at their own bodies and be considerate of the pain of those around them, by learning about the differences between each person, how people are forced to endure pain depending on their living environment or difficulty communicating with others.
Each area, consisting of "Introduction," "Realizing," "Imagining," and "Confronting," deals with the symptoms and discomfort of menstruation and PMS from a different angle.
After an introduction, you will first enter an area where you can "realize" the "invisible pain" that many people suffer from. Next, you will enter an area where you can "imagine" the different menstrual and PMS symptoms that each person experiences. Finally, you will move on to an area where you can explore alternatives to enduring and "face" yourself and others. As you move through each area, you will be able to encounter a variety of stories and content.
The film was produced with the cooperation of actor Igeta Hiroe, who portrays the true feelings of those who "secretly endure" in their daily lives and the thoughts behind it, and Marius Yo, who expresses the feelings of those around them who want to "be there for them," as well as the thoughts of those who are confused, lost, and in pain.
Furthermore, there will be a room where you can virtually experience what it's like when symptoms associated with menstruation and PMS cause your daily life to "go wrong," as well as a room where you can virtually experience menstrual pain using the "Perionoid" VR device, in cooperation with Linkage Co., Ltd. The exhibit will also include content that visualizes invisible and often overlooked discomforts, and their impact on mental health.

"I want people to know that menstrual pain and PMS pain varies from person to person" (91.9%)

The #OneMoreChoice project aims to create a society where people do not have to endure the pain of menstruation, and continues to take action to solve problems based on the background and voices of women whose periods have become clear through surveys.
We recently conducted a new survey of 3,000 men and women regarding menstruation and PMS. Of the 1,500 women who have experienced menstruation, 57.9% answered that "menstrual pain and PMS affect my daily life." In addition, 56.8% answered that they felt that "there are symptoms that are difficult for others to understand."
Furthermore, 91.9% of those who answered that menstrual pain and PMS pain affects their daily lives responded that they "want people to know that the pain varies from person to person."
Given this background, we have planned the "Let's Start by Knowing the Differences" exhibition, with the aim of providing an opportunity for people to understand the different concerns and difficulties that each person faces regarding menstruation and PMS.

An exhibition Events anyone can participate in, whether they have experienced menstruation or not

When we asked people how they would respond if they saw someone around them having trouble with their period or PMS, it became clear that 76.4% thought, "I want to help (support) them, but I don't know how to respond."
We hope that by visualizing the worries and hardships that each individual experiences, it will provide an opportunity for not only the individuals themselves but also those around them to focus not only on the symptoms themselves, but also on the hardships caused by the environment in which they find themselves.
I would be happy if this will be an opportunity for people to think about alternatives to endurance (=One More Choice) from their respective positions.
Please come by yourself, or with your friends, family or partner.
