ART AWARD TOKYO MARUNOUCHI2025 Grand Prix Winner Exhibition to be held!
From Marunouchi to the World: Grand Prize Winner Exhibition of the Next Generation Art Award "AATM25"
Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi (AATM), which was established in 2007 with the aim of discovering and nurturing young Artist, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. AATM is open to Artist selected through a public nomination system from among the graduation projects of art universities and graduate schools across the country, and exhibits their works in Marunouchi Area. To date, AATM has introduced approximately 500 Artist.
We are pleased to present the work of Erika Ainami, winner of the Grand Prix at AATM2025. Her work is peppered with narrative elements, depicting landscapes that seem somewhat alien to reality. While we may find these landscapes unsettling, they also represent a new challenge for the pictorial space, connecting with modern society, where real space-time has been expanded by generative AI, the internet, gaming, and more. The "countless imaginary worlds that intervene in reality" that Ainami herself speaks of may be worlds that exist in the imaginations of each of us.
AATM was established in 2007 with the aim of bringing new perspectives and ideas to viewers through the works of Artist, and creating encounters between artworks and audiences. We will continue to provide opportunities for young Artist from Marunouchi, hoping that they will take flight in Japan and the world. We hope you will support Artist of the future as they take flight.
