A gourmet food fair using ingredients from the Tsuruga and Wakasa regions
"Miketsukuni" is the name given to a region that has offered the bounty of the sea and mountains to the capital Kyoto since ancient times, and Tsuruga and Wakasa are one of the most representative areas. This region has a long history of being deeply connected to Kyoto culture, along with being blessed with abundant nature, and even today it can be said to embody Japan's food culture, from seafood and mountain produce to crafts. This Events will feature a variety of content showcasing the appeal of the food and culture of the Tsuruga and Wakasa region, which has become more accessible with the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen line to Tsuruga.

During Events, 12 MARUNOUCHI HOUSE restaurants will offer 16 original dishes using ingredients from Tsuruga and Wakasa, such as Heshiko (fish roe) and Tororo Konbu (grated kelp). After your meal, you can participate in a raffle, which will be held only during Period.

Shops and greetings to experience the culture of Tsuruga and Wakasa
On February 14th Sat and 15th Sun there will be a workshop on food and crafts representative of the Tsuruga and Wakasa regions, including a hands-on experience of making Oboro Konbu, Tsuruga's proud number one producer of kelp in Japan, and on February 20th Fri and 21st Sat, an experience of sharpening Wakasa lacquer Shops, which are made by applying multiple layers of colorful lacquer and topping them with shell and egg designs. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the quality of local ingredients and the charm of traditional crafts. Furthermore, on February 20th Fri and 21st Sat Tsuruga's local hero, Gyobu the Double Butterfly, will appear at MARUNOUCHI HOUSE Library to greet visitors.
