Marunouchi Bloomway: a new spot bringing the four seasons to Marunouchi
Marunouchi Bloomway is a new spot that opened as part of the renovation project of Mitsubishi Bldg. Marunouchi 2-chome Bldg. in front of Tokyo Station. It changes every month and allows you to enjoy a variety of seasonal plants along with the scent of the trees in the flower beds.
Planned by Mitsubishi Estate, the flowerbeds were designed by Mitsubishi Estate Design's Takaaki Fuji (https://www.instagram.com/fuji_architect_tokyo_japan/), winner of the 2010 Architectural Design Institute of Japan Award and the 2011 Good Design Award Top 100, among others, and the plantings were done by modern-day plant hunter Seijun Nishihata (https://www.instagram.com/seijun_nishihata/), who travels all over Japan and the world to collect various plants and delivers plants in response to various requests and projects, including government agencies, companies, and royalty and aristocracy both in Japan and abroad. The garden was completed in May 2024 with construction by Sanmono Construction.
The flower beds are changed every month to reflect the changing seasons.
It is a relaxing space that anyone can use, whether between work or while walking around town.
