The JAGDA New Designer Award is presented annually to promising graphic designers (under 39 years old) selected from among the exhibitors of "Graphic Design in Japan" who are expected to make significant contributions in the future. Since 1983, this award has served as a stepping stone for designers, producing 131 designers who are now active on the front lines, and attracting attention from people in the design and advertising industries.
For this 44th edition of the award, three individuals—Takashi Asano, Kazuyuki Ishida, and Mei Otsubo—were selected from 132 nominees for the Newcomer Award after a rigorous selection process. This exhibition will showcase their award-winning works and recent pieces, primarily posters and product designs.

In addition to her work primarily in advertising and graphic design, she also engages in personal projects such as exhibiting her artwork.
