〈GOOD DESIGN Marunouchi Project Summary〉
The first Venue gallery will hold the exhibition "Mountain, Tree and Me".
Japan is blessed with abundant forest resources, but the connection between the mountains (forestry), trees (lumber industry), and daily life (housing and lifestyle industry) has been severed, and an increasing number of forests are left uncared for. In order to use trees more in our daily lives and to maintain healthy forests, we will once again focus on the appeal of Japanese trees.
Wood, with its excellent workability, is the best material for learning the joy of making things. While it can change over time and can be repaired, it can also rot and decay, but it is a versatile material that can be used in any way depending on how it is made and how it is tailored, and can last a thousand years if carefully repaired. We will recognize the interest of wood, think about the mountains, and reconsider the way we live our lives.
