What is Johnstons of Elgin?
Founded in 1797 in Elgin in the northeast of Scotland, Johnstons of Elgin is one of Scotland's oldest manufacturers, having been run by the Johnston and Harrison families for over 200 years. Known as a pioneer of luxury materials such as cashmere, vicuna, and lamb's wool, it is one of the few brands that carries out all processes from raw wool to finishing in its own factories.

The finest cashmere produced by the rich natural environment
Johnstons of Elgin carries out all processes from raw natural fibers (raw wool) to dyeing, spinning, weaving, knitting, cutting and folding in its own factory in Scotland. The rich nature and traditions of Scotland are essential behind this. For cashmere products, they use the soft, high-quality water of the Tibiot River that flows through Scotland, and for the nap-raising process, they use a method that has remained unchanged since the company was founded, using natural teasel nuts, bringing out the supple texture of cashmere.

In addition, the selection criteria for cashmere that can be used in products are known to be the strictest in the industry, and all products are manufactured under strict quality control in our own factory in Scotland. This strict selection process, production process that uses almost no chemicals, and the skills of skilled craftsmen produce the world's highest quality cashmere. In 2021, the company was highly praised for its sustainability efforts and received the Queen's Awards for Enterprise.
The company received the Royal Warrant, a mark of patronage from the British Royal Family, in 2013. Tartan check, which has been around since the 1840s, is still loved by ladies and gentlemen around the world as a modern British style icon.
The lineup will be introduced at a later date.
