Tokyo Beef is a black-haired Japanese beef produced in Tokyo, with cattle born in Aogashima, a hidden gem of Tokyo, and raised in Hachioji and other areas.
Only around 80 head of cattle are shipped annually, which is far less than other branded cattle, and so it is known as the "phantom Japanese Black Beef."
