○ Shops Contents○
This is a Shops where you can bring your own pottery and have it repaired with gold.
Adhesives and synthetic resins are used for bonding and filling chips, and natural lacquer is used for the finishing process. The surface is coated with lacquer, so the pieces can be used as tableware even after kintsugi.
For those who would like to try kintsugi but don't have any broken pottery, the instructor will provide you with damaged antique pottery for 1,000 yen each.

○What to bring○
- Apron or clothes that can get dirty
・If necessary, glasses Glasses (this requires some delicate work)
・1-2 pieces Ceramics to be repaired
→ In the case of cracks, 1 point: up to 3 splits / crack length up to 10cm on one side
→ 1-2 chips: up to 2 chips in total / chip diameter within 2cm
○Requests and Cautions○
・Please bring only Ceramics tableware (glass, wood, earthenware, or other heating items are not permitted).
・This Shops will use lacquer. If the lacquer comes into contact with your skin, you may have a rash, so please be sure to wear the provided rubber gloves while working.
・ Since the lacquer needs to harden, you will not be able to take it home on the day. The instructor will take it and let it harden before mailing it to your home. It is scheduled to be shipped approximately one month after the event. (Please note that returns will be cash on delivery.)
・Brass powder is used for the finish. The initial color is gold, but over time it will change color to a smoky finish.
・Children under 12 years old cannot participate alone. They must be accompanied by at least one adult.
・Please be aware that we cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur during the Shops.
○How to handle Kintsugi equipment○
- Do not use in microwaves, dishwashers, dryers or over open flames.
・Wash gently with a soft sponge and dish detergent. Do not use scrubbing brushes, abrasives, or bleach.
- Avoid soaking in water for long periods of time and exposing to direct sunlight.
・Kintsugi is not as strong as it was before it was broken. Please be careful not to subject it to strong impacts.
○Cancellation Policy○
If you cancel Shops for any reason, we will charge you the following cancellation fees. Thank you for your understanding.
・Cancellation up to 2 days in advance: No cancellation fee will be charged.
・Cancellation the day before (1 day before): 50% of the participation fee (3,500 yen)
・Cancellation on the day: 100% of the participation fee (7,000 yen)
*Cancellations without notice will be treated the same as cancellations on the day of the event.
