Joseph Cheaney, a British shoe brand founded in 1886, will release the CAIRNGORM EG, a collaboration model with New York-based brand Engineered Garments, worldwide on Fri October 3rd.
A unique double name that embodies the craftsmanship of both brands
The base for this collection is Joseph Cheaney's iconic CAIRNGORM IIR model, a favorite of Engineered Garments founder Daiki Suzuki. The last used is the 4436, also known as a military last. Originally used for British military footwear, it features a short nose and rounded form. The upper is made of Scotch grain leather, which is also used in the in-line collection. While retaining the durable Weltschon construction and the "Bellows Tongue" design that prevents rain and dust from entering, the eyelets have been changed to D-rings on one side and an asymmetrical zigzag arrangement adds a unique touch.

Additionally, the outsole has been changed from a Commando sole to a Vibram® Morflex sole, which provides just the right amount of volume while also being lightweight and cushioned, making it ideal for modern urban living.
This unique pair of shoes from Joseph Cheaney embodies the essence of Engineered Garments. Be sure to check out this piece, which combines the craftsmanship and aesthetics of both brands.
