Using a solar radiation device, a heat shielding experiment was conducted under temperature and solar radiation conditions simulating daytime conditions in Tokyo in August.
A T-shirt made with HEAT SHIELD material, after being exposed to heat for 5 minutes, was found to provide a heat-shielding effect that resulted in a 7 °C difference in the core temperature of the garment and a 5 °C difference in the average body temperature compared to a regular cotton T-shirt.
