Lanvin is one of the oldest surviving French couture houses, founded in 1889. 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the 1925 Art Deco Exposition, where founder Jeanne Lanvin demonstrated her talent.
To commemorate this, "ART DÉCO et LANVIN" will be held at Maru Cube on the 1st floor Marunouchi Bldg. from Saturday, October 11th to Monday, October 13th (national holiday).
The Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, located in the same Marunouchi Area, will be holding a "Three Days of Art Deco in Marunouchi" event in conjunction with the "Art Deco and Mode: Centered on the Collection of the Kyoto Costume Institute (KCI)" exhibition, where you can view a selection of dresses from the Art Deco period.
01. Experience Art Deco in a space that interprets modern Art Deco, proposed by the cutting-edge design firm DAIKEI MILLS.
Art Deco is a design style that was widespread in various fields, including architecture, Furniture, painting, posters, crafts, and Fashion, primarily in Europe and America from the mid-1910s to the 1930s. This collaboration with DAIKEI MILLS, a design firm led by Keisuke Nakamura, explores the revolutionary changes that took place in decorative arts in particular. Daikei Mills will also provide content for learning about Art Deco, including books and material samples that they have used as research for their past projects. This special space, available for three days only, allows visitors to "experience Art Deco."

To commemorate 100 years since the Art Deco Exposition, a special artwork was created by a Parisian atelier that pays homage to the Art Deco aesthetic of the time at Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, Tokyo Store "Store 1894" and Events Venue. A limited-Period lineup of commemorative products featuring the design and logo will be available. At Events Venue, customers who spend over 10,000 yen during Period will receive a free charm or handkerchief on a first-come, first-served basis.
