Enjoy "sound art" with your ears and body at "Marunouchi Street Gallery"
Sculptures to listen to with your ears and body. "Sound art appreciation" using GATARI's Auris at Marunouchi Street Gallery
~ Providing a new appreciation experience that combines sight and sound in an outdoor space ~
A new art appreciation experience utilizing Mixed Reality (MR) technology has begun on Marunouchi-Nakadori Ave. in Tokyo.
With just a smartphone and earphones, you can have an immersive experience that feels like you're "touching the artwork with your ears."
The Marunouchi Street Gallery is an art project Organizer by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. since 1972, featuring permanent outdoor sculptures in the Marunouchi Area of Tokyo, and has been a beloved attraction for many visitors over the years. This time, with the first change of artworks in three years, we will be implementing a Mixed Reality (MR) experience, aiming to create an environment where people of all backgrounds, including those with visual impairments, can enjoy the artworks.
Leveraging the knowledge GATARI has accumulated through co-creation of content and technology demonstrations with visually impaired individuals, we will create a new viewing experience.
* Mixed Reality (MR): A state in which real space and digital space are seamlessly merged (mixed), allowing real objects and virtual information to be displayed and manipulated on an equivalent level.
