Kabuki is Japan's world-renowned traditional culture.
What kind of entertainment is Kabuki, which has a history of over 400 years and is said to be a comprehensive art form?
The first ever [~ Marunouchi Bldg. de Kabuki~] will take advantage of the free space of Marunouchi Bldg. Hall to present a two-part performance featuring popular young actor Nakamura Sodama and other members of Takasagoya.

In the first part, we will introduce the history of Kabuki and its unique conventions, using slides and demonstrations.
We will also explain the make-up and preparation of the male actors who play female roles, the professional staff who support the actors, and the work of the costumes, floorboards, and props.

In the second part, in honor of this year's zodiac sign, the rabbit, we will perform a lovely dance in the form of a bare dance that incorporates episodes from the fairy tale of Mt. Kachi Kachi called ``Gyokuto''.

Kabuki has been created since the Edo period as entertainment that was always at the cutting edge of the times, and has been passed down to the present day. The wisdom and skills of our ancestors have continued to fascinate many people throughout the ages.
This Events is a special program that is easy to understand for everyone, allowing everyone from children to adults to experience Kabuki more closely, so please come and visit us.

In the foyer, which is the entrance to the hall, there are a variety of Kabuki animals (props) that are used on the Kabuki stage. There will also be props on display that you can actually hold in your hands, so you can enjoy taking photos.
