To coincide with the Sanno Festival at Hie Shrine, the "Edo Tokyo Campaign 2026 Spring" will be held to promote the charm of Edo culture.
A collaboration between the "Edo-style floats" that graced the Sanno Festival during the Edo period and "future floats."
The Edo-style float "Shizuka Gozen," which was paraded during the Sanno Festival (a festival attended by successive shoguns), will be on display on the 1st floor Marunouchi Bldg..
At the same time, the "future float" Tsunaguruma, which combines a yagura (a type of float made from cedar wood sourced from Hinohara, built using traditional techniques passed down since the Edo Period) with an EV assist system that takes environmental impact into consideration, will also be on display. During Events, there will also be opportunities to experience riding in the Tsunaguruma.
The Edo Tokyo Campaign flags create a vibrant and unified atmosphere on Marunouchi-Nakadori Ave.
Marunouchi-Nakadori Ave., where the Sanno Festival procession takes place, will be decorated with original flags from the Edo Tokyo Campaign.
Around noon on Fri, June 12th, a procession of 550 people will parade through this space, so come and experience the festive atmosphere of Edo, which is different from the usual Marunouchi.
There will be plenty of fun activities, including performances and hands-on experiences of traditional Japanese music, and panel displays.
At Marunouchi Bldg. Venue, there will be performances by local musical groups such as "Tsutsumi Kaji," opportunities to try playing the musical accompaniment, and an exhibition of panels introducing the history of the Sanno Festival.
Additionally, those who complete the survey at Venue will receive original merchandise.
Experience Edo culture at various locations participating in the Edo Tokyo Campaign.
We will be holding a "stamp rally" where we will give commemorative goods to those who visit the museums and art galleries participating in the Edo Tokyo Campaign.
A free shuttle bus service will also operate from the Marunouchi area, so why not explore various spots and experience Edo culture?
