"BATON PARK2026": A new way to enjoy the waterfront along the Nihonbashi River.
The construction of the Nakadori Promenade Bridge and the development of the Kamakura River Pier are expanding a social experiment to create new riverside gathering places.
We will be holding "BATON PARK2026," a social experiment Events where you can experience new possibilities for waterfront spaces, along the Nihonbashi River connecting Kanda and Otemachi, for eight days from Wed, October 14th to Wed October 21st.
Venue will include the Otemachi Kawabata Greenbelt, as well as the "Uchikanda Nakadori Plaza," "Nakadori Promenade Bridge," and "Kamakura River Pier," which were established in July 2026. This initiative aims to create new places to stay and socialize in the heart of the city by making integrated use of Kanda, Otemachi, and the Nihonbashi River.
"BATON PARK" is a social experiment that has been held since 2022 to examine the future utilization of Kawabata Greenbelt, and this year marks its fourth edition. Under the name "BATON," which embodies the idea of "connecting Kanda and Otemachi" and "connecting to the future," it will showcase the new appeal of the waterfront.
A waterside space to enjoy with three themes
This year's BATON PARK is based on three themes: "lively," "relaxing," and "connecting."
A variety of programs will be offered in each area: "PARK SIDE," a lively hub open to the community; "RIVER SIDE," where visitors can enjoy the unique scenery and nature of the Nihonbashi River; and "PLAY SIDE," which fosters interaction between people.
Enjoy a pleasant time while rediscovering the charm of the waterfront.
