Autumn at Daimaru-Yu Shizen no Copan
I take a closer look at the familiar greenery of my town than usual.
"Daimaru-Yu Shizen no Kopan" is a monthly Events held in the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho (Daimaru-Yu) area, where participants can enjoy strolling through the city while experiencing the city's nature and greenery and feeling a connection with living creatures.
In the Marunouchi/Otemachi/Yurakucho area, there is plenty of nature that is easily overlooked, such as forests and gardens nestled between buildings, and trees that change their appearance with each season.
This autumn, with the theme of "seeing," we will be holding three programs that encourage you to look at familiar aspects of nature, such as plants, soil, trees, insects, wind, and light, from a slightly different perspective than usual.
Enjoy the changes in plants between summer and autumn with all your senses, explore autumn from a plant's perspective with a tree doctor, and create "imaginary creatures" that live in your garden from the various elements that make it possible.
Each episode features a specialist in their field as a guest, and together we discover the changing seasons and the natural processes that thrive within the town.
Why not take a moment to pause and admire your familiar surroundings, whether on a day off or before work?
Let's spend some pleasant autumn time together, connecting with nature right in the heart of the city.

October | "Seeing" with the Five Senses - The Forest of Otemachi -
The end of summer and the beginning of autumn. As we walk through the forest in Otemachi, we use all five senses to feel the changing seasons: the colors of the leaves, the scents of the plants, the texture of the nuts and fallen leaves. We also try our hand at making original cutlery using tree branches. We enjoy the familiar "forest" by seeing, touching, smelling, and tasting.
November-December | "Seeing" from a Plant's Perspective - Green Spaces in Otemachi Area-
November to December. Let's chase autumn with three morning activities! The colors of the trees, the changes in the leaves, the shapes of the buds.
Walking through the green spaces of Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho with a tree doctor, we'll discover the gradual deepening of autumn.
Otemachi Forest, Otemachi One GARDEN, and Hotoria Square. A stroll through these three green spaces might reveal different autumnal landscapes. This morning activity can be enjoyed once or three times in a row. Why not take a moment to admire the trees of the city before heading to work?
December | Imagine and "Try" -Otemachi One GARDEN-
Plants, soil, stones, nuts, twigs, insect traces, wind, light, water, and buildings. Plants aren't the only things that make up a garden.
We will walk through Otemachi One GARDEN, observe various "things," and use natural materials and clay to create "imaginary creatures" that might live in this place. What do these creatures eat, where do they live, and what do they interact with? The process doesn't end with creation; we will imagine the environment of this garden while recording our observations with photographs and in a journal.
