This autumn, "Marunouchi Japanese Wine Weeks 2026" will be held throughout the Marunouchi area.
In conjunction with this, Marunouchi Commons will be hosting a social Events where attendees can enjoy Japanese wine and chocolate.
After enjoying some welcome wine and socializing, we'll have a mini-lecture by Chateau Mercian and a Japanese wine and chocolate pairing experience.

Enjoy Japanese wine with Chateau Mercian
In this mini-lecture, we will welcome a brand representative from Chateau Mercian to introduce the charm and enjoyment of Japanese wine in a casual manner. Even those who think "wine seems difficult" can easily enjoy it at their own pace, as we will explain it in an easy-to-understand way for beginners.
Chateau Mercian is a winery that traces its roots back to the "Dai Nippon Yamanashi Wine Company," Japan's oldest private wine company, which was established in 1877. With the vision of making Japan a world-renowned wine region, Chateau Mercian cultivates the unique character that can only be expressed through Japanese wine, hoping that Japanese wine will one day be loved and cherished by people in Japan and around the world.

Wine and chocolate: My own favorite pairing
Participants will freely combine chocolates with different aromas and flavors with three types of Japanese wine to find their favorite pairings. Once they find a combination that interests them, they will share their reasons and impressions at the table. Participants will interact with each other and discover their own "favorite pairings."
Even with the same wine, the experience might change depending on the chocolate you pair it with. So, please try various combinations and find your own favorite pairing!
