"Daimaru-Yu SDGs Film Festival 2026" will be held.
Events spaces in the Otemachi, Marunouchi and Yurakucho Area will be transformed into mini-theaters
The "Daimaru-Yu SDGs Film Festival 2026," which will screen films related to the 17 SDGs goals in the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho Area, will be held from September 28th Mon to October 22nd Thu. The "Daimaru-Yu SDGs Film Festival" started in 2020 as a symbolic Events of Daimaru-Yu SDGs ACT5, and this will be its seventh year. This year, the festival will cover "world issues we want to think about now," such as environmental and human rights issues, working styles, coastal degradation, freedom of the press, and the sustainability of healthcare.
Furthermore, as a special collaboration project for the E&J Festival, there will be special screenings free of charge, including a special video of the movie "4 Outs" before its theatrical release, and an outdoor screening Venue Wadakura Fountain Park Imperial Palace Outer Garden Outer Garden.
Events spaces and incubation offices in the Marunouchi/Otemachi/Yurakucho area will be transformed into mini-theaters, where films and talks will be used to present the realities of the global challenges behind the SDGs and hints for solving them.
Learning about social issues through film and talk
On Thu October 22nd, the closing screening will be Venue at Marunouchi Bldg. Hall. The film will be "Lighting a Light of Hope in the Wilderness: Theatrical Version," a documentary following the life of Dr. Tetsu Nakamura, who dedicated himself to medical support and irrigation projects in Afghanistan and other places. Following the screening, director Kenji Yatsu and musician SUGIZO will be special guests for a fantastic talk session!

*For the closing screening (Thu, October 22nd), you can earn two stamps.
*For the sessions on October 3rd Sat and October 9th Fri, which have standing-room-only areas, only those who have made a reservation in advance will be able to earn stamps.
*There will be two screenings on Sat October 3rd. You can earn two stamps by attending both screenings, or one stamp by attending either one.
