Untitled

Giuseppe Spagnolo

1995/Bronze/Italy
He became familiar with ceramics from an early age under the influence of his father, a potter, and his works range from a wide range of materials including ceramics, terracotta, sand, and bronze.
This work has no title, so it can be interpreted in many different ways. This is because although it may look like a concrete human part, such a shape does not actually exist, so it may be an abstract work. In addition, although the block-like mass looks inorganic like a standardized industrial product, it can also be seen as an organic body cut out from nature. In other words, this work expresses the dilemma of desire that exists within humans, which can never be satisfied.
